3-Ingredient, Gluten-Free Banana Pancakes

These banana pancakes are incredible- they're delicious, healthy, and only require three ingredients. It's a perfect breakfast (or dessert) recipe to make being while in quarantine because it doesn't even require any flour or baking soda! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Total time (prep/cook): 10 min

Difficulty Level: Easy

  • 1 medium banana

  • 1 Tbsp of peanut butter (almond butter or your choice of nut butter works too!)

  • 1 egg

  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil or butter

Optional ingredients

  • Shredded coconut- If I have this, I love adding it for some great texture and flavor

  • Cinnamon

  • Chocolate chips

  • Flax seeds or chia seeds



  1. Mash the banana in a bowl

  2. Add the egg and peanut butter to the mashed banana and combine

  3. Add coconut oil/butter to a warm pan

  4. Scoop pancake mixture (about 3 Tbsp per pancake) into the pan, cover with lid, and let cook for 2 minutes.

  5. Flip and cook for 1 minute

  6. Ready to serve!


Ingredients' Healing Properties

  1. Banana: high in potassium (good for heart health), vitamin B6

  2. Egg: great source of protein and omega-3s

  3. Peanut butter: high in protein, will keep you full longer

  4. Cinnamon: natural anti-inflammatory
